2011 Tree Lighting and Santa Arrival

Again, we had a great time this year. Santa arrived by fire truck at about 6:03 p.m. last night. It was awesome to see many members there in attendance. This is a great event that rallies our community commerce for the Christmas season. We will be posting photos on the Home 44444 Facebook page shortly. Thank you to Denny from Falls Fitness for organizing the tree, Jim Kazimer for his tree donation, and

Baryak’s Tree Service for erecting it in the ground. As always, this event would not have happened without the diligence and running around of Lara and Dale Reibold. Thank you for everything you guys do for the group.

Home 44444 The Holidays – Chinese Auction Donations

Thank you to those who have already made their donations and have taken them to Huntington. This part of the event is one of the major funding sources to return the funds back to the commerce association. We have received several donations as well from those businesses that are not members of the association and would like to see more participation by members. Please keep in mind that when your donated items are on display at the event we post who (the company or person’s name) made the donation so it will get you some exposure. If you have not already made a donation, please do so as soon as possible by taking it to Huntington bank this week.

Home 44444 The Holidays – Vendor Table Spots

As of the time of writing this message, we only have 5 available spots open. We have posted on the site that we are full since these spots will fill up quickly. We wanted to let the membership know about this in case they (or someone they know) would like to have a table at the event. If you would like to take advantage of this, please contact Lara ASAP (today is the deadline to be listed in the vendor brochure).

Christmas Party and RSVP

Please keep in mind the deadline to RSVP for this year’s Commerce Christmas party is Friday, December 9 to Lara Reibold. Every member should have received an invitation by mail. If you would like to participate in the gift exchange, please bring a wrapped gift ($20 cap) for each person that is coming to the party. This is one of those exciting events were we can get together and just enjoy fellowship. We hope that all can attend.

December – Regular Commerce Meeting – Tentative Agenda

At the December meeting we will be going over the Home 44444 the Holidays and Tree Lighting wrap-up. We also plan on discussing the new NFACA website and how it will help in promoting your business on the Internet. As always, a representative from your business or organization should be present during the regular meetings to give your membership a voice in voting procedures.

January – Regular Commerce Meeting – Tentative Agenda

There will be several important items discussed and presented at this meeting. Tentatively we have 3 speakers for this meeting and it is all extremely important information that will affect your businesses. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you attended this meeting. Tentative speakers; Mayor Waddell, Paul Woodard – Superintendent Newton Falls Schools, Vicky Hawke, Executive Director of NOACC. We will also be going over the goals for 2012 and other regular commerce items. Again, please mark your calendars to attend this meeting. In October we had Vicky Hawke attend to go over the NOACC benefits for each of our members and had less than a dozen members in attendance. This was not a great representation of our membership, please be in attendance in January, it is very important information that could help save your business money.
